These guys need women in their lives
Ok, so I used to work at Best Buy when I was in college and I remember them making us do some stupid shit in the mornings. For example, they would have meetings at 6am to talk about how to sell more and yada yada yada, abd to make us "wake up" and become "energetic" they would make us do jumping jacksa and stupid games involving a hula-hoop and a few guys that have no lives outside of work. I hated that job. Watching this video made me think. Is retail really where these people want to be? I mean I look at these commercials (Mcdonalds, Best Buy, Wal-mart) and all of the employees look so alive and happy to be selling shit to douchbags, and when I say "shit" I mean the stuff you want, but don't want to pay full price for so you applied for the open position to get a discount. I'll say that 60% of people that work in retail are only there for the discount. Even more than that at Best Buy. I mean, you can get up to 80% off of some items. That's why I was there so long. 20% just need a job, and the other 20% actually want to work there and move up in the company and those are usually those assholes that you work with that brag about how many sales they've had...honestly who gives a shit? Really? Just give me my check and make sure you hold one of those flatscreens for me.
Ok, so I stemmed off a bit. In a nutshell, if you sat down and took the time to not only, write this song, but to find a wack instrumental, AND video tape it, you clearly have no life. Seriously. If I came in to work one day and they taped this with ME in it I'd quit just like I did gospel choir...I'd literally walk out!

History is made!
History is made! Barack Obama is officially the President of the United States! I got a call this morning from my mom and it is snowing in North Carolina. My girlfriend sent me some pictures as well. I kinda wish it were snowing her too so I wouldn't have to give my presentation today...wait a minute...I didn't give it because my professor didn't show up, therefore, I passed around a roll so everyone could get credit for coming. We all gathered in the caf to watch the inauguration and the energy there was awesome. All I kept thinking was, "Obama is COOL!" even when he forgot the words of the oath he still kept his cool. Gotta love that guy

Don't trust a Starbucks barista
So, I just left work not too long ago and before I head to campus I decided to use my free tea cupon from Starbucks. I pull up and the guy already knew that I had a coupon. There must have been a camera watching me. I asked him what were my choices and he mentioned several. Normally I get the vanilla roibos since I've given up black coffee...for now. I order it and the guy asked me, "Are you sure?" as if to say, "You sure you want to drink that shit?" So I asked him to make anything and that I trusted his taste. "Apple latte all day" is what he said to me. My coupon was for a tallm but he hooked me up with a grande and made sure that I knew. I thanked the guy and drove off towards campus. After taking one sip I realized that apple lattes are the nastiest creations on earth. I feel like I'm drinking a dirty martini right now. I've been sippin' this thing for an hour and the cup still has weight to it. NEVER trust a Starbucks barista, people...stick to the script.

This is a video clip from an album that was released back in about '96-'97 called "America is dying slowly" I actually have the cd, but they did live performances from the album on Mtv. This only aired once! I did have it on tape, but I lost it. Eb, I think you might have it at your place. Anyway, not only is this a dope performance, but this was the first time Method Man showed the world that he cut off his braids. Classic and rare shit!

Goodbye, Midtown
So, I've moved out of my apartment (studio) and I've roomed up in a house next to Atlantic Station. Technically it's still midtown, but my studio was alot closer, like a block from the Fox Theater and seven blocks from Piedmont Park. I'll miss the place and the area, but I won't miss the loud music, that lady who walks her dog up and down the hallway, the guy who yells on the phone under me, the transexual prostitutes, the eight dogs barking at me when I go to the laundry room, and the new assholic landlord. So, with all that said, you'll be missed old dwelling.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
I know I'm late, ya'll...INCREDIBLY late. I have a really good reason for this, though. for one, "Molly" went out of town for christmas break, and secondly, it turned out that my airport card slip out of it's socket somehow. I didn't even know that was a possibility until I went to the genius bar and they guy fixed it in about 13 seconds. I do have internet again now at my new place, but we need a router, so until then I'll be posting whenever I have free time on campus. SO, I hope everyone had a great new year and just to start things off I've added a couple pics from that night. Enjoy and stay turned for some good shit in '09! HOLLA!!!!
