Jay-Z: The Hustler

There is really no logical reason for me posting this photo of Jay-Z. It's just an image from his drug dealing days...nothing special. Ok, now lets all continue with our lives

Top 5 Dopest Bathrooms I've Been In.

This is the men's bathroom in SCAD's library here in Savannah. I have no idea why that bench was in here. It was right behind the urinals. I can only imagine what the women's bathroom looks like.

R.I.P.

They were starting to talk

GOOD GOD!! CANKLES!!!

So, the other day I got off of the elevator and looked down and noticed that my ankles were SUPER swollen, yo! I started to freak out! I had to cancel my printing appointment to go to Urgent Care (btw...noone knew where it was, I had to drive for like 20 minutes). THe doctor said my health was fine and that it was just from standing too much and not drinking enough water. She couldn't have bee any more correct about both. So they ran test for diabetes, kindney trouble, etc. I'm perfectly fine, but she wanted to check and see if I have thyroid issues, so my blood was sent to a lab. Oh yea, when they took my blood, the nurse dropped the tube on the table and my blood spilled on the table. WHAT AN IDIOT! I'm fine now

This Is It!!!

Today (hopefully) is my last official day in Savannah. It's been a long journey and I'm excited to be going back home. I have alot more to say, but I don't really feel like typing. I have been busting my ass for the past couple of weeks and that's why I haven't been blogging lately, but don''t fret!, I will be blogging my whole vacation back home and I will update you guys on my large format work. So with that said, SUCK A PENIS, SAVANNAH!

Today's Critique

One more week left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOLD! for $43.7 million!

Yesterday, one of Any Warhol's first sreenprints (estimated at $12 million) sold for $43.7 million. So, here is my theory. The factory was flooded with hipsters daily. I know tons of those people got free art from Warhol. So, if they haven't already died from drugs or std's I'm almost positive that they all have over $1 million worth of art on their hands. LONG LIVE ART!!!!!!

WU-TANG WEDNESDAY!!!!

Happy Veterans Day!

Suprisingly, I woke up super early this morning. 7am to be exact. I couldn't sleep. This is a very important week for me and I wanted to go to the gym. BTW, what gym has no locker room?!! I really hate Savannah today. I was driving downtown to park and I noticed alot of flags hung. At first I thought it was for those lost in the Ft. Hood shooting, but then I thought..."Damn, is today Veterans Day?"...YES!

Savannah Wedding

November 7, 2009

So, today I took the large format camera deeper into Savannah. I had my critique a few days ago and some of my classmates thought it would be a good idea to go to the "hood" hood to shoot some alley ways. I was up for it and thought it would be interesting so I went. I went deep past 36th street and into bernard, draughton, waters, etc. Trust me it was very hood. I did a few shots and everything was cool. I ever shot in some guys backyard and nooone said anything to me except some kid that said, "What's up?" as he ran to his mother. There were only two alleys that I liked, but overall, most of the alleys in the hood are just flat strips of gravel, dirt and leaves. There wasn't enough in there for me to shoot like in midtown and downtown (same thing really). Thanks guys, but I'll stick to the city.

Mimes in Midtown

I have no idea, either

I ran into this when the elevator doors opened. I'm not lying when I say I'm inspired by life.

It's Been a Long Week

This week has been a looong one, and it's only Thursday. Usually I really don't type much, but I just had a Red Bull (sugar free) and a grande black. I'm in the student center looking over some photos for inspiration. I was looking a some of Perou's work and I noticed he had a journal, so I decided to post some of my thoughts. I think I'll start doing more of this through the life journey and make some changes to the blog. Nothing graphic-wise, though. For example, I will discontinue Wu-Tang Wednesday at the end of December. It will be formatted as more of a diary and things that interest me an make me different, like green pee haha.

So, I'm up for my conditional review next week and I've been having meetings with my advisor o make sure things go smoothly. Today I met with her after my large-format critique and we discussed what I'd talk about in my artist statement. I had already can prepared with one which discussed my progression and influences so far as a grad student at SCAD. She explained to me that large-format is the most important work for my portfolio. What? I'm studying towards my masters in Commercial photography, not fine art. If anything, it's the last thing I need to think about, but she may have a point if she meant diversifying my portfolio.

She told me that my artist statement should focus on and only on what I'm shooting in her class. That didn't make sense to me, because that doesn't show the type of photography that I'm training for. That would be like doing two finals for the same class. I told her this and I also told her that I had all my prints with me from Atlanta. She couldn't believe that I had them. "Well that changes everything," she said. "We need to set up another meeting..." Shit, man...I feel like SCAD is screwing me over. For example. She said that the SIX prerequisites that I was assigned were a waste of time. She was confused that I had take them because, the classes were not even on the list to be taken!!!

I feel like suing SCAD for wasting my time! Listen, I'm studying commercial photography, right. I've been going to SCAD part-time for two years and I will not begin taking my commercial and fashion classes until next year...I graduate in May! Today I feel like I've wasted alot of time and money!
