Michael Jackson 1958-2009
Today is truly a day that I will never forget. Michael JAckson is literally one of the greatest musicians EVER. It is a shame that the youth today have not had the opportunity to truly witness and understand how talented and influential He was. His music mad you love life, made you want to dance, and made you want to love. I will never forget this day and my his soul rest in peace.
How I found out: Franki and I were on a no meat diet and today is our day to eat meat again. She left for work and I was getting ready to go out and get some food (100% meat) after I walked Tyson. I come back and I check my phone on the bed. I check a message I had from the Herald-Sun and then I got a text from Franki. It said that Michael Jackson had just died and immediately I ran to te tv and watched CNN. They said that he was in cardiac arrest and the it wasn't confirmed. A little relieved I sent her a text saying that it wasn't true. I leave to go to Harris Teeter and in my mind I said to myself, "Watch, as soon as I walk back in here he'll be dead." I called my sister and the first thing that she said when she picked up was, "He's still in a coma." We talked briefly and then she told me that the LA TImes Just pronounced him dead. We didn't cry, but it was very sad. As I drove to the store I saw EVERYONE on their cell phones. I even saw an old Hispanic crying. THIS IS HOW IMPORTANT HE WAS!!! I got my food and I noticed that the employees were happy. THe cashier grabbed my things and asked me if I had a Vic Card. "No, I don't have one", I said. "My girlfriend does." "What's her number?" she said. I gave t to her and it worked. I saved money. I asked her if she heard the news and she hadn't. I told her what happened and both her and the lady behind he were blown away. "Now that's news" she said. "Not the crap about that governor." I explained to them what my sister told me and grabbed my things. This is definitely a story for the kids.
